Short story:

The thief kept running,the police hot on his trail. Thinking quickly,the man ducked into a old warehouse. He could ditch the money here,then come back later for it. He looked behind him to make sure no one was following him,then turned back around. Standing right in front of him was a man,wearing completely black except for his hood which had small golden fringes. Worst of all,the hooded figure had a scythe to the thief's throat.
"H-Hey,listen man...we can split the cash,I swear. Just put the scythe down....we can talk about this." Trying to escape,the thief starts to barter with the hooded figure. It's no use...
"Why should I let you live?" The hooded man's voice echoes off of the walls,his 'gaze' never moving. Quickly the thief starts thinking. Is this guy serious?!
"Y-Your kidding right?! I-I'm a decent man! I-I've got a family!" He's trying everything,but they were all lies. Not one was true.
"You lie...I can see it in your eyes." The thief could've sworn the man in front of him was smirking. "Destiny has a plan for you...embrace it." With that,the hooded figure,lifts his scythe and brings it down upon the thief.
